I just found that my E60 (MY2006) purchased in November 2006 was assembled in October 2004.
How do you guys feel if it were you?

Should I pursue a lawsuit to BMW Thailand or its dealer?

Thanks,
Visarn.k

This is rather strange. Yes, you can go back to dealer and tell them that the car is not MY2006 based on VIN number.
Good luck.

Nothing you can do. Trust me. I bought mine end of September 2005, and I got an 04 one. My friend recently bought one and got an 04 one. The only way you'll get 05+ is to purchase the 530. Because all 520i and 525i(SE) are all made in Thailand since 2004. I'm also in Thailand and dealt with this sh*t with the Thai dealer. Where did you buy yours from? I bought from Nelson Auto in Chon Buri.

Thanks for your reply. I bought mine from Millennium Auto Lad Prao. At least I will try to talk to "Thai's Office of the Consumer Protection Board"cause I have a strong feeling that it is not fair to Customer. After knowing the date of production, I take a good look in my car and I spot the followings:

- The rust at the door locks themselves, not parts attached with car body (expect to see a lot of them inside the doors)
- Paint getting peel off around key holes. (Hard to spot)
- Plastic locks of the leather covered steering wheel column are brokens.

All of these are the signs of aging problems (left in stock) of the car.

Notes: For all Thai reading my post you should see also the forum in www.bmwsociety.com/board.

How long have you had your car? I've had mine for about a year now and everything since the delivery, except the MY of course. Also they agreed to installed an M-tech kit, but came without but they refunded 100,000 to me. Hope you get your problems worked out.

100,000! Are you talking American dollars? I would gladly trade my 550 for 525 plus $100,000.

They are probably Thai Bahts, so it's about $3,300. Plus, German cars in Thailand cost a gazillion times more than in the US thanks to import taxes

The best way is get your VIN and call BMW Thailand. Or just do the odometer secret menu, I think its there. One tech guy from German Auto also said its printed somewhere on the body under the hood. I bought mine September 05, but i got a July 04 one. Pissed off at first, but doesn't matter now, all the same, unless you get a 530 then its a difference.
