For what its worth, several years ago my Camaro was pretty much T-boned by a Toyota. Most of the damage was on the front end passenger side. The wheel was bent pretty bad and the car had to be towed. +1 I was t-boned in a brand new 2000 GT vert and the passenger front wheel took most of the impact. No frame damage at all and the fender was replaced along with the steering spindle, rack and pinion and it was as good as new...I was very picky about it and they were able to fix it right. I doubt your rear axle was damaged - but that along with the wheel, rotor etc. are definitely repairable....even if they need to replace the entire rear axle housing (inc. diff.) it can be done as it is really just a "bolt in" assembly. Good luck and not too worry we all hit things sometimes....I very much doubt that you and your friends were testing the "traction limits" of your cars on crowded streets...
