iceman, which part number do you want? the one for the torch? I can get this for you but when I got mine I just asked the parts guy for a rechargeable torch that fits the E60 glovebox. looks same size as the one i had in my E46, must be same part, so you should be able to get one quite easily.
If you want Iceman I can ask how much when I pick up the new one.
I think I have to talk to my service advisor about that...

yes it was an ex-demo car.
Should go back and tell them. Not standard on new 2004 cars but was standard in 2003 before the BMW UK price rises in February/March 2004. I wonder if its the same for all BMWs in the range.
Definitely cost cutting as BMWs always had torch, first aid kit and warning triangle as standard in the UK.

dennis....yes as other have said, your missing the first aid kit. I can confirm it is in UK cars at least....get the dealer to give you the kit for free, i cannot believe they charge for them.....mind i cannot talk i paid about ?17 at the dealer last week for the torch that fits in the glovebox socket?
? ? slightly OT, did your car come with the torch in the glovebox ?
ps: definitely get the 5 series keyring....i know its a bit "cheesy" having the matching key ring...but who cares

Getting back to the subject of the missing warning triangle in US cars: I ordered the one that's listed in the accessories brochure and that one does NOT fit in the trunk lid -- it is a different one, with a heavy base. I asked the dealer's parts department, they searched and found the item, but the part is "not available in the US" :-(

I bought a folding emergency triangle a couple of weeks ago at Pep Boys, fits right in. I think box it came in is still floating around my trunk, I'll take a look for name/part #.
