Hi I placed an Ipod interface in my glovebox instead of the CDC
my question once i turn of ignetion the ipod shows BMW conected and OK to disconect message !!!! I know for sure its not chargeing so I m not worry about car battery BUT what about ipod battery !!!!! if it say BMW ok to disconect should i disconect it and reconnect it every time i go in the car !!! so stupid that way !!!! or should i leave it connected all time regardless !!!! what you guys usally do Thx

I have the iPod Classic 80G as well and I keep it connected almost all the time. I haven't checked it lately, but I think my iPod shows the same message all the time when the ignition is on. My iPod is charged when ignition is on though.

yea it doeas charge once the car is on and it wont charge once i turn the car off but stay connected with BMW logo and a message saying OK to disconect !!! so what you r tryin to say its normal this way and not to worry about the ipod battery ( i realy dont care but just in case if i need to use it outside the car if its normal i am fine with leaving it in the glovebox !!!

 

I've been fine with it no problems. I don't think the iPod will show the message forever, but the time before the car goes to sleep and then the iPod goes off as well.

 

no the car goeas to sleep while the ipod still on i locked myself inside the car till the car went to sleep and looked at the ipod still on !!!!!!

 

yes the iPod will continue to charge even if the car is off.
