i have a service appoingment at bmw tommorrow and i want to get the cip /prgogram upgraded and as well enable mp3/ipod playback cani have this done with out have the ipod cable install i haven't recieved the kit just yet , can it be coded and then install the i[od kit myself.

 

No. You can only code after physical installation. Read the installation manual - there are very specific steps to follow.
