On the plus side, you can leave the older iPod in the car (unless you frequently update podcasts like I do).

wowww, I really am sorry for what happened. but hey I found a great solution, I will try to use Playlist for only most listen Playlists only and the rest of my playlists will go in Album and Gerne instead. For some reason, I can access 255 Album and 255 Gernes so that's my solution. Thanks guys, still try to figure out way to resume my song after lock/unlock the car.

I tried to use Genre as Playlists and it works but only one problem, I put my songs in alphabet order but in Genre the order is really mess up.

HI I am not quite sure i understand the problem about Ipod not resuming after locking the car, but could it be that power source for the ipod is taken away when you lock the car (Ipod is hooked up to accessory which is only powered when the with the ignition in ACC).
I just got my 530I and am looking for a better solution than the one offered by the dealer, I am leaning towards the Dension Gateway 500 but need more info about the intergration.

GW500 is great and much better than the OEM iPod such as no limitation and you get USB connection but the cost is twice as much and you still need the dealer to enable the GW500 either as CD changer or iPod interface in order for it to work w/ the iDrive.
