I don't recall the gauges going out but last week, while using the NAV heading somewhere everything in the I drive screen went blank and the CD turned off. I kept driving for about 5 minutes and it rebooted itself. I had to reset the NAV to the destination and the CD came back on but not where it was playing. Has happened only once and not again.
I also got another notice to bring my car in for a computer upgrade. Will be done on 6 Oct.

I just had the same exact instrumentation black out this evening. Car was parked in an enclosed garage downtown, and when I started it, I got a speedometer fault warning on the I-Drive, the tach went to zero, fuel gauge went to zero and turn signal indicators on the instrument panel were out (altho everything else, including the actual turn signals continued to work). Also speed was working on the dial speedometer, but not on the HUD. Then I had to drive home thru remains of Hurricane Jeanne (really bad this evening in Philadelphia). I hope all will come back to normal tomorrow morning, after an overnight rest.

Well, it did not come back to life. I took the car over the dealer this morning, and they had been washed out by the storm (lost ten cars in their parking lot), and could not give me an appt until Oct. 7, so I just have to guess and make sure that I keep the gas tank filled up.
