Wow...my bad. You are right! I missed the "Retuned" part. I'm curious to know what the "Retuned" means and how it's different than the standard sport suspension.
Anyone know exactly how it's different?
Good catch!
Sorry redwhiteblue - you were right.

Edit - the configuration tool and model info on BMW Canada confirms that it's M Sport suspension on the 550 Sport pack (and as in the US, carbon black is a 550 only option).

To the best of my knowledge it's the M-Sport suspension that was available in many other countries but not here in the US until the LCI models came out. The BMW websites for the UK or for Canada might have more info. I'll take a look and see if I can find anything.
The international M-Sport Suspension never included ARS/DD, while the USA version now does.

The USA '08 LCI 550 Sport Suspension could be something else.

Wow I cannot imagine the sport suspension and m sport suspension not having ARS-to me that is the best feature of the sport suspension. I wonder if they came with bigger/stiffer sway bars in the sport packages if no ARS was chosen because I found in the non-sport bimmer I had body roll was enormous.
As always I do not understand the variance by country. Nobody has ever given a good reason why all options and packages are not available the same everywhere. As always I understand dealers not having certain models in inventory but not to be available for order is odd.
I would love the m-sport package here for the 535 or 528, how nice would that be. I find the 535 plenty fast but would not mind an upgraded suspension with 19 inch stock rims.

I would take a turbo inline 6 any day of the week. if you drive both you can noticably tell the weight in the front of the car plus I just LOVE the smoothness of bmws I6 engines. Add the turbos and you get the smoothness plus the power-perfect combo IMO.
I have to disagree with the sound comment. The i6 in the 545 and 550 prior to this year with the new sport exhaust was no louder or growly than the i6 and actually with comparison of same exhaust/intakes the I6 is actually louder with a nicer sound than the V8 comparing same to same. For example my friend has a 545 with remus and I had a 530 and mine actually was slightly louder and we boht preffered the sound of mine. The sound in bmw V8s to their I6s is not better and to be honest I think nothing sounds better than a bmw I6 with an exhaust addition.
Reliability is another huge thing. If you look at any stats regarding reliability the I6 is proven reliable which is a big decision for some who do not lease. Now cannot speak to the turbo set up but the NA i6 is superiorly proven in reliability.
So for some the I6 makes sense.

If you could list what you do have at the bottom of your posts it would be appreciated.

I can't answer "exactly" what is different but my theory ia the 550i sport package is tuned differently due to the non-RFT tires. I think it is also a slightly softer spring rate so maybe they are more progressive springs. But then again the softness could be due to the non-RFT tires and actually allow stiffer spring rates
