Good point, I have the WS50 17". Incredible tires on snow and ice.

Please, have some respect to other people opinions especially when you don't have all the facts. All my other cars had the all season tires and my 550 is the first one ever that I put snows on. It definitly outperformed all my other cars including AWDs and SUVs. Again, if you don't likle my statements then tough...
Take it easy my man. No need to get all nuts and say "tough". If you knew me, you would know I'm a long time contributing member of this forum and help out many with fact and opinions. I have a lot of respect for everyone on this forum, including yourself, believe it or not. So take a sip of that 20 year old scotch sitting atop of your fridge and relax. Your posts seem very confrontational lately. Everything ok? We're all here in good fun and enjoyment. Afterall, it's just a car. The word of the day is...Mellllloooooow.

Now, back on topic...

Forget all season tires. Answer me this one question...

We have 2 cars. One is AWD and the other is RWD (Let's just say for the sake of this discussion, it's my car and it's your 550). Both have the Blizzak's on them.

Which will peform better with 6 inches of snow on the ground, with the average driver at the wheel? The drive includes steep uphill grades and steep dowhill grades with turns. I'm not saying your car won't handle well, but which will handle better? Do the front wheels of my car not help at all? They must come into play and be somewhat of a factor, no?

If you truly believe your car will handle better, that's fine. It's your choice.

On a side note, I love your car and think the 550 is fantastic. So much so, that I wanted it, but the wife had to have AWD. Do I miss the power of the V8? Sure. Do I sleep better knowing that my wife and family are driving in an AWD BMW that has all the bells and whistles needed to keep them safe? Absolutely.

PS - I've said my piece. No need to drag this out any further. I just tried to make a joke on my first post, but it was taken seriously. My mistake.

I do and you did not see me call anyone names or degrade their opinion or experience. I gave you and every other person the courtesy to accept your or their input. I just don't accept name calling or outright being talked down to, respect and treating others as you would like to be treated should be first line of communication.

Peace.

Did I call you name? I don't believe I did. Please don't confuse me with other members. I'll re-read my posts again, but I don't do that.

I just reread my posts. I didn't call you any names. And I didn't disrespect you. I think you're taking this way too seriously. But hey, if I offended you, my apologies. It wasn't meant to be that way. Be well my friend.

Ok, you talked me into it. I will go for a very dry martini though.

I did not mean you but I am very sorry I grouped you with others.
