i was doing some more research and it looks like its related to a part in the below image... not sure which one though... maybe someone had the same issue with this?

this is for fuel tank ventilation

I believe what you are looking for is part #1 on here. it should be near the fuel tank

Thanks for your help but do you know the part name or number? And have you heard of this issue and the fix?

It is called the tank ventilation valve. It was about $80 according to real oem. I believe it was under group #13

That's correct. I also believe that it's even longer and more stringent in California where flyingpuck's from.

ok i found it... according to the TIS it looks like its located on the right side of the engine but where.. the TIS shows pictures for a E70 engine. have no idea why but would like to know where its located to replace or check for any obvious problems...

FOLLOW TEST PLAN - MAP THERMOSTAT DEFECTIVE ,
DIAGCODE1150 B0000000_01_001 , DRAIN COOLANT , REPLACE DEFECTIVE MAP
THERMOSTAT , REFILL SYSTEM WITH COOLANT , CLEAR DME MEMORY - TEST DRIVE
- FAULT DID NOT RETURN

AND THATS IT. MY BABY IS NOW RUNNING LIKE A CHAMPION. FEELS LIKE THE FIRST DAY I GOT HER! ALSO I LOVE MY MT. VIEW SALES TEAM FOR HANDLING THINGS IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT!

That E70 note is simply for the ductwork that needs to be removed. the vent valve is where the TIS said, on the left side of the cylinder head
