I hope an aftermarket turbo kit is made for the 4.8 L V8. After my car is out of warranty I would consider adding a proven turbo kit. Oh after my investments come back so i can afford to do this some day. Will the stock market ever come back?

This has been the discussion for many months/years i truley love the e60 550 or the 535

I wouldnt get the 535xi because it doesnt snow too often in ny and the rain doesnt bother me one bit. I am on a highly modified 535 with dual intake ypipe, mufflers, cat delete and the latest jb3 running on 100 octane. I ve run and or drove many many diff 5ers 535i and 550. the v8 has a nice sounding exhaust and its damn fast low end. Depending on the level of modification to the twin turbo would determine the out come of the low end race. Both care are sick but if your trying to get more power from tunning n54 is better and cheaper. The biggest diff comes down to mpg i abuse my car and get 17 mp as appose to a 550 about 12mpg

Both are great cars...535 hands down for me...I have over 12,000 miles with JB3 not a single hiccup....and the car is VERY fast. I can run 4.75 sec 0-60 all day long on $100 general 19" tires with no traction through second gear. With JB3 and intake only (less than $700).

Oh and that was BEFORE getting the new 1.22 chip, adding water/meth injection and running map 7 (high octane map). The turbo motor makes it VERY easy (cheap) to make much more power
