DO IT!!
The M3 is a supercar and the new model doesnt come yet and it wont have the screaming sixcilinder which really is a beast and no V8 can match that kind of aggressivness.

however much i love the m3 i would say NO. Think practically, is a 2door coupe really good for you and your family (gf or whatever)? also with the new model 4-6 months away, you would be faced with considerable depreciation if you change your mind

No...

I love the E46, but couldn't live with an outdated model.

My personal opinion is you should hold off for the new M3...albeit it will be a bit more in price but you will be more satisfied having the new model. I would tend to agree that the depreciation of the car will be greater once the new model comes out. If you're hot for the M3 wait for the new body, if not stick with ur current bad boy.

For me that would be a no no.....regardless of cost or penalties, if any. The reason being that the new body style M3 is almost here and I personally hate buying a car just to have it replaced by a new body style soon after. As a matter of fact I have a rule of not buying a BMW if it is going to be replaced by a new body style within 3 years, let alone in less than a year. At the same time I know many people who have told me that if they like a car they could care less about a new body style coming up, although some of them have regretted their purchase once the new one has come out.

Just my opinion

Good luck

No, I wouldn't do it. If I had wanted that car, or a similar one, then I would have purchased it in the first place. I would take the deal if the car were a new M3.

OK. So I have the opportunity to get into a brand new Interlagos Blue M3 completely optioned out w/the very sought after competition pkg. The sticker is 62k. I can also simultaneously exit my lease w/ no penalty as a friend and coworker is salivating to take my car. My question is, would you do it? I already know which way I'm leaning and I'm 95% there in my head. Curious as to your thoughts.

All the best
M5 must be the answer

As long as the monthly was not costing anymore and they give you a guarunteed residual I would say do it.
M3 will be a far more enjoyable car than the 530i.

But only if the deal is right.
