My Ride: (USA) 645Ci, Silver Gray, Chateau, Cold Weather PKG, Premium Sound PKG, Sport PKG, Step, NAV [Std Equip in 645], HUD, Satellite (SIRIUS) Radio, Aux Input, Bluetooth enabled using iPhone 3GS w/ adapter cradle - Build date - 01/05, Baby delivered 2/24/05
Anybody know anything about this?
Voice Command
This system allows you to dial, add or delete stored telephone numbers hands-free. It can also activate numerous navigation system functions and record up to five minutes of notes. The Voice Command button must be pressed before each use, so conversations wont accidentally activate the phone or other systems.
Standard on:
2006 650i Convertible
2006 650i Coupe
2006 750i Sedan
2006 750Li Sedan
2006 760i Sedan
2006 760Li Sedan
Optional on:
2006 325i Sedan
2006 330i Sedan
2006 325xi Sports Wagon
2006 525i Sedan
2006 525xi Sedan
2006 530i Sedan
2006 530xi Sedan
2006 530xi Sports Wagon
2006 550i Sedan
Never noticed this claim, or if indeed it was claimed, on the '05 models.

What's your source? It sounds like an easy to implement and logical progression of the technology so it makes sense that they could introduce it as a feature for 2006. It might not be something that trickles down to earlier MY cars though since there's probably some RAM involved to store voice memos...

[/quote]I have voice command on my 535d. My car was delivered 09/04, so it has been existing for a long time. It's quite usefull but it is a bit to slow

Yep, 12vguy gets it.
Although that does bring to mind the question - Is BMW saying the note taking feature is part and parcel part of VC or is it its own special option? The way I now read the quoted part from the BMW web site now makes me think it is all one option and the five minutes of notes feature is part of VC option - not a stand alone option. Anybody know if this is just new for the REAL 06 model year (uno, September builds) or does anybody know if it was claimed for 05 or U.S 06 models introduced in march time frame?
