very interested in the "cheap solution" for AUX you're talking about - please inform

- I am a total techie so wires/soldering are my backyard, it would be super if you could let me know what exactly, my cheap options are
(and what kind of coding is required afterwards)

Parrot has some very nice solutions that add 4 things rather than just line in for less than $100
I am using one myself

Takes 1-2 hours to install. No coding required.

1. Bluetooth
2. Line in
3. USB in
4. iPhone/iPod conenction

Does anyone know if this will also allow you to play music from iPhone/iPod in the same way a Dension would? Thinking about selling my Dension and getting this.

It is plug and play with the right adapter.

It has it's own controller. Does not work through I drive as is but you can get a harness to allow it to be controller from the wheel controls if you prefer.

I find the supplied controller very convenient and easy to use.

So, all i will need is:

Video Interface:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-iDrive-V...ht_2959wt_1139

Audio Interface (also bluethooth, usb....)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Parrot-MKI90...ht_4403wt_1037

and audio adapter (2004 e60, no nav)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/PARROT-PC000...ht_5036wt_1270

So all this system will cost a little more than 400$...

The :Modmynav: system already came with audio interface? or also need some audio adapter? Im looking for the best cost/benefits for my car.

MMN system is just a replacement for this. You need to buy the parrot system if you don't have Bluetooth in your car already.

This last week i install the parrot mki9200 on my 04 530i. I prefer this one because i see that the display will be nice to control the phone book, mp3, and all that. The first step to install the video module.

The Bluetooth is very nice, also the voice recognition, and all the way it can be control it. My only problem is the sound....

My bass (low frequency) it really poor wen play music on it, its like an FM transmitter, only with better quality, there is some way to make it work? I don't know if this car have some sub-woofer that don't work wen play music with the parrot or some like it
