I installed the xCarlink today and it's GREAT~! For the two post that said the unit was not a plug and play, you are wrong. It is 100% plug and play I did not have to cut or tap into any wires. For the other post that said he lost his blue tooth and ipdo, if you did not transfer your fiber optic cable this will happen. The fiber optice simply unclips from the main and then connects to the xcarlink connector. $500 for modmynav and $200 for xcarlink. Ok, the xcarlink does not come with a camera, but I don't need one anyway, so why would I spend $300 more? Crazy!

The photo is with a movie playing.

tonyb635 you did it! Told you once you open her up you'd see what I mean about transferring over the optic cable! Congrats bro! I use mine everyday! Music videos are so much more fun that just music playing.

What are you using to play your videos etc?

Here's a link to my install.

Shipping to the US was $20.00 you would need to contact them and check on the specifics of your shipping. You can purchase through ebay at a best offer or go directly to their site and purchase. Personally, I think ebay is better way since the price was a "best offer" and was less than the website AND you have the safety insurance from ebay and paypal.

okay so install was easy but

did you have to have any special coding performed
AND
did you already have (or have to use) an AUX in for sound?

i have no way to code myself and i have no AUX in... assuming i would need both before i could attempt this setup

No coding needed. You will need aux in but there are cheap solutions for that.
