An idrive that thinks

Kinda of a stupid feature if you ask me.....who wants to have to pull off the road, turn off the car and then go through all that nonsense just to re boot the iDrive. c'mon people...this is a 45k-75k automobile. We are not talking about a freaking 10k Hyundai (which does not share these issues I must add) That is alot of money for some of us and even more for our Singapore members. These are NOT issues that should be attributed to an automobile that cost that much and/or is badged with the BMW roundel. It is completely un-acceptable.

Yes, but since there is a problem, and they can't seem to fix it yet, it would be great to have a way to restart! You have to CTL+ALT+DEL on home computers all the time. Annoying yes, but it's better than your computer freezing and having no way to use it until it decides to work again!

This does work and I for one was surprised too. You don't have to turn off the car or pull off the road though. If your idrive froze you can push the buttons in at a stop light and it'll reboot. Mine has never froze but it has rebooted itself randomy a few times.
