An idrive that thinks

Today I tried to use the voice command feature to dial a phone number, only, unlike in the past, I tried saying the entire number at once without pausing. I was surprised to see that all but one number was recognized correctly. I was even more surprised to see that the idrive actually dialed the correct number. It was a number that was in my phonebook, so I?m guessing that it tries to ?match up? with other numbers.
Anyway, the idrive froze up on me and never dialed the number. In fact, I could not unfreeze idrive. I even turned the car on and off and it would it not reset. It was not until I left the car off for about a half hour that it reset. In the meantime, I could not use any of the idrive functions for my 45 minute drive.

Here is the reboot procedure for i-drive. I never tried it myself, so try it at your own risk (next time it freezes again).
Turn on key
at the same time push in the radio volume and CD eject buttons
hold them in until the LCD turns off,
wait until LCD is back to the "accept screen"

Can someone please confirm this as this would be EXTREMELY helpful for a lot of people if this is correct. I'm currently very far away from my car for a long while (Out of the country :'( ) so I can't check.
This will be so good for all the people who have iDrive problems like audio just dying on them and NAV getting stuck etc.

It does work for me. Just make sure you press all 3 buttons at once. DVD EJECT + CD EJECT + RADIO VOLUME CONTROL DIAL
