Not sure about Thailand... but here it'll be under the warranty if there's a legitiment problem that is fixed via software... its still not free. the dealer charges BMW for it. It's no cost to you.

Vista = Software update from DOS ... That's debateable lol Give me DOS over Vista any day!!

The V29 software that you found is the latest 2007 version NAV software for the Pre-iDrive cars. It is for the MKIV NAV system which is the last pre-iDrive NAV system BMW used on models like the E46, E38, E39, and E53 X5. For those cars there was no special equipment necessary to upgrade the software. All you needed to do is burn it on a DVD and insert it in the NAV drive....and then just turn the ignition on to start the update process (which only takes a few minutes).

Sorry, but neither this version of the software, nor this process can be used with iDrive cars.
