My dealer is giving me a hardtime with iDrive reprogramming. Im the second owner of BMW 530i ( 2004 ) and 2 months ago I had purchased the Extended warranty from the dealer paying 2800$. 2 weeks ago my iDrive stopped working and when I left with the dealer for service today, they came back and said the reprogramming ( because of some faulty codes ) is not covered .
Im totally pissed. I paid 2800$ for the warrantly and now Im being told that its not covered. Has anybody had this kind of experience. Im asked to pay up 500$ ( for inspecting and reprogramming ).
Thanks
Manjunath

When you say it stopped working, does it completely turn off or what?

$500 is pretty steep for reprogramming your idrive. I mean all they have to do i think is click a button on their computer.
