Until I find a great deal on some Michelin's (I'm working on that)... I hate the road noise on the 18's... so I want to go with quiet Michelin's.
When I bought my car in December it had 3 Riken Raptors and 1 Dunlop on the front left. The Raptors look pretty new and still have the little things sticking out of the side walls...
A friend suggested I replace the older Dunlop with the Raptor to have 4 like tires... I can get a used Raptor for $80: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/245-40-18-R...sspagenameZWDVW
Is this a good idea, or am I just wasting my time? What will it do to handling? I was going to rotate the tires soon as well.

never heard of them, but it should be a ok solution for now. If the other three seem fine, no need to ditch them all. What area of the country are you in and do you have a staggered setup?

I'm in DC/Fairfax VA.
Should I rebalance all 4?

"If it ain't broke don't fix it." IMHO, if you've been driving on these tires for six-seven months w/o problems, then why bother with the switch? If having the mismatch is bugging you, then a good used matching tire is a cheap option. But, used tires can be a problem. Unless the treadwear on the Dunlop is considerably different, I'd just leave it alone. If it were me, I'd just stick with what you have until you can get what you really want. 2 cents.
