Thanks for all the tips, folks! She goes in this morning (50 minutes). We're supposed to get snow tonight, and I was hoping to take my baby out for it's first turn in the powder (it's a 530xi). Oh well.
The manual reboot did not seem to help. It did exactly what keeps happening: it rebooted (and then rebooted on it's own, and kept on rebooting).
I don't know if anyone cares, but my Comfort Access still works just fine. Climate control seems to stay on my settings (and maintain even while rebooting). Other things I thought were controlled by iDrive still seem to work fine. I guess iDrive just controls the changing of the settings, not the function once they are set. I assume that my Bluetooth won't work worth a darn because the audio just plain sucks right now.
Now - if I wanted to CHANGE any of the car settings, that's another story...

Just to follow-up with everyone:
They have ordered a new CCC and "Radio Center" (whatever that is?). I am hopefully going to get my car back on Monday.
Today we had our first snowfall since I got the 530xi. I'd love to be out playing around in the snow today. Darn it. At least I got an X3 to drive around (no - I'm not playing around in the snow with it - it only has 50 miles on it).

So - you're saying I need the new CCC and the new CIP?
I hope my dealer has CIP 20. The next BMW dealer is 2.5 hours away.

There should be an online version available to dealers - CIP 20.0.01 - released Jan 3, 2006.

That should be the newer 20.01.00. I posted the Service Bulletin for that version yesterday.
