Idrive memory
First post. My new to me 07 530xiT is wearing me out with the Idrive system. It took 10 times (drive cycles) for me to get the pathway lighting to stay on 60 seconds. But the majority of the problem is the radio settings. It keeps the first 7 stations that I programmed but on a daily basis I have to keep adding my station for my Bluetooth radio receiver. And the equalizer setting default back to dead center every time.
Its a touring and Im sure it’s broken wires in the hatch. Since I’ve bought it I’ve lost my keyless entry and pretty much all of my radio reception but the Idrive memory was acting up before that.
It it just seems like it has no key off power (memory) going to the Idrive. I still have to check the fuses behind the glove box but I didn’t find any blown in the hatch area.
Thanks for any help.

Here's a link to a BMW TIS site. If you have the patience to work through it, it will reveal all on your e61 touring. Well worth the effort...

Thanks. I’ll check that out.
Also is the screen supposed to open with the colored menu screen or the black screen with BMW in white after I start the car?

On all of our 07 and up cars, the idrive settings are saved even with the battery is disconnected. You won't find the solution in a fuse anywhere I am afraid.
