iDrive dead - is this CCC failure?
CCC failed and needs replacing. The independent are seeing loads with this issue, even brand new cars.
AA called out and "sorry mate, I can't classify this as a breakdown as you can still drive". Ho hum, looks like a big bill to pay then for a crap component. Why BMW can't take a leaf out of Toyota's book and sort out shoddy issues. It's not as though these are cheap cars in the first place. :thumbsdown:

Ok, got this fixed yesterday at local independent so thought I would update thread.
New CCC at cost of £550 (exchange for my unit with BMW dealer) and labour and coding of £75. With vat came to just under £740.
Ouch.

Interesting that there was a core involved. I wonder if it a hard drive that crashes and if they just replace that or if it something else.
