One of those people... I removed the resistor from the AUX line and the sound is much better... bass improved tremendously... I actually enjoy using my iPod now.

I found the AUX input to be of marginal audio quality compared to the MOST iPod interface. However, I think he was asking if he could still keep the AUX as an option. The answer is yes.
