what exactly though is making this noise? when the sunroof is opened, it doesn't make this noise. if it's closed and i knock on the glass, it'll mimic the noise.

where are you putting black tape or felt to stop the glass from making the rattling noise? it's late, and i'll look again this morning, but any help would be amazing.

THANK YOU!
All I did was what you see in that image a few posts before this. I've put things of various thicknesses in there (folded up tissue, eraser flat on, eraser side on (the thicker side of it)). All of them helped for a week or two and then it came back. It's as if you have to keep pushing it more and more. Eventually I got sick of that and took the eraser away and the noise hasn't happened since then. I only hear it when I'm not alone because I have the music volume turned down for talking, so maybe it's still there. I've only ever driven alone in it for the last 4 weeks or so.

For me, 90% of the problem of having a noise is know what/where it is. Once I know, it seems less annoying. If it happens again, I'll slide the sunroof cover back for that journey.

Anyone found a proper permanent solution? I know that if I push my finger up in the center of the sunroof slider and push it up just a small amount, that's enough to stop it always (on mine). Short of jamming a stick between the center console and the sunroof cover though, I don't know how I can replicate that.

My steering wheel volume button is rattling and it's driving me crazy!! Might go to the stealer and try to get it fixed under cpo! At first I thought it was a air vent or my trim falling apart so now I drive with my hand over the steering buttons ..

Do anybody hear plastic cracking sound by the windshield. Every time I go over a bump I hear this plastic chirping. I donno if it's the outside plastic that holds my front windshield to the body or If it's comin from underneath my dashboard

i donno what's up with the quality of BMW?????????? a Toyota or Honda doesn't have this kind of cracking sounds from the inside of their cars. you have ppl amazed by you driving a BMW, and they get excited to sit in your car, and the first thing they notice is cracking sound all around the car... So Embarassing!!!
