Yes its only the SMG that you get the M-sport pack look a like steering wheel... Basically the 645 steering wheel. Its not the M5 wheel nor the M sport pack wheel. it doesnt have the thumb grips like the M sport pack and doesnt have M color stitching like the M5s. So its a basic dumb down look-a-like.

I drove a car with the sportsteerwheel. Although it feels good I didn't like the look of it with the round airbag. So I went for the triangular airbag standard wheel.
It was an extra for something like 120 euros. (very small price)

BMW has three different steering wheels for the E60:
Standard
Sports
M-Tech
With SMG you get the Sports steering wheel.
