Hi all, just to say that this forum is a mine of information for an E60 newbie. Lots of very useful comments.

I have picked up an early model 520i (UK '04' plate). There does not appear to be any bluetooth capability which is a little disappointing (although the car is fantastic!). Having searched the site and read various comments I am wondering if part of the limitation is the i-Drive software version. It looks like it can be upgraded. I presume that a dealer would do this.

For an older E60, can the i-Drive software be upgraded? If so, does anybody is the UK have experience of how much this costs?

Are there any other solutions for adding Bluetooth without needing a second mortgage?

Any suggestions gratefully appreciated.
