Can you honestly say that if you bought/leased the G35 you would be able to say that considering you passed up a BMW???

just my .02.....

No, I can't say that. My Bimmer is a total pussy magnet and eye-turner. It just doesn't happen in a boring Japanese car that are a dime a dozen all over Illinois...

thats my point, i feel the same way about nissan and infiniti except nismo gtr

so y would u get an infiniti over bmw?
I have already posted my opinion on the first page. I would "probably" lease a infiniti if it's a lot cheaper, but I would say 'NO' if you asked me if I want to buy one. Most Japanese made products are going down big time just like their new generations. No more quality or reliability...

My Ride: 2006 BMW 530i Mystic Blue/Tan

I have always stood by the japanese car brands. I sold my 05" Lexus LS430 recently which was fully modded. I still have my 2000 Lexus GS400. When shopping for a replacement car, I checked out the Infiniti M35 and G. All my friends and family told me to check out BMW. I never really liked the interiors on the BMWs, and stayed away from German cars because I have always heard horror stories regarding reliability and electrical issues.

My cousin kept telling to just check out a BMW. After test driving a 530i with sport package, I am now converted!!!!!!!!The car handles like a dream. I have really been missing out.!!!!!!!!

The Infiniti G doesn't even come close to handling when compared to BMW. I also looked at the MB E55 model and that car is a monster, but handling wise, I didn't think it was up to par with BMW. In the end I purchased a 06' 530 without the sport package (I really liked the rare color -Mystic Blue-, plus I will be upgrading to KW version 2 coilovers soon) and I would have to say that in my personal opinion, I think my base 530i handles better than the Infiniti G. The infiniti is a good value, but it just doesn't compare to a 5 series in terms of overall performance. As previously mentioned buy others, the fact that EVERYTHING is covered under warranty-service, brakes, wiper blades, etc.. Just doesn't cover tires and gas. In the long run, you save buy not having to shell out $$$ everytime for oil changes and service work like on the G. Just my .02 cents.

Well, you haven't really saved anything at all - the cost of these things is, of course, built right in to the car's purchase price when you acquire your new BMW. More to the point, with condition based servicing the sum total of 4 year's scheduled maintenance for many owners will amount to little more than a two or three oil changes and a minor service. Frankly, the net result of CBS and the free maintenance program is that many cars will get less rather than more servicing in their early years. I'm not sure that necessarily bodes well for either long term BMW ownership or subsequent buyers of a pre-owned BMW.

I've tried the Audi A6, Mb e500 sport, infiniti g35, and the Gs300 back when i was shopping around for my 530i about 2 years ago and let me say the bmw was the best handling, most fun, and eye catching ride (outta the bunch) ! Its just a shame I didnt go for a v8 =(

There is a price spread of about 15 to 20K between a G35 and an E60 and oil changes on the G are $50 every 5k miles and wiper blades are what $25. So after 45K miles the grand total saved is $475. Unless you have a lot of discretionary money one really needs to factor the extra cost of the car into the equation. Price independent one would be crazy to opt for a G but a G with 15-20K of cash in the trunk vs. a 5 series is a different choice.

Well Howitzer

A 5,9 interest rate is about 5,7 % higher than your counties interest rate is today,
quite high margin, I would say.

Infinity is a Datsun but is called Nissan today in Europe.

Don't change your car at this moment, just wait a bit for the car dealers to be on their knees,
it will happen next spring.
