Did the dealer handle as a warranty repair?

OK - I posted up about the headlamp icon lit up on my dash and 'warning' sign - triangle with exclamation. Duh.... push the upper button on the turn signal stalk and you get the messages on the iDrive screen. Passenger low-beem bulb is burned out.

So... my question is, and this is the idiot part - we have BMWs, can I just go to an auto parts store and get the bulb or do I need to go to the dealer and get a 'good' bulb? I assume I can install a bulb myself, yes?

Thanks,
Barry
Hey Barry,
My passenger xenon bilb just gave out yesterday too. Post if u find out what to do. Not sure if I should buy replacement or if it is going to be a covered part.

I'm going to the dealer, it's covered if wiper blades are would be my guess.
