HUD - How can I tell if I have it?

HUD on/off is a button on your dash. you wont find it in iDrive. i'm pretty sure that anyone who had HUD, would have left it as on and so you would have noticed it by now. sorry. but enjoy the 545i. that was my first e60 and she still holds a candle to my heart

dewman, if you look on the dash right in front of the driver's seat/above the main instrument cluster, you should see a rectangularish opening with a glass covering. That's the HUD projector and it aims at the windshield.

I just have a feeling you don't have it otherwise the seller would have mentioned it as a selling point.

Thanks all, guess it was a dumb question. Clearly I dont have it. Still, am enjoying my new ride!

HUD is a cool option to have and I will have it in the 528i M Sport I have on order, but I don't think it is a MUST HAVE option IMO. I think almost all of us have lived without HUD on previous cars and never needed it.
