Yes thats right. then the question is... Does the poster have Bluetooth? I know its standard in the US but I dont think its standard in China... might be an option.

What about the phone button. When you press it, nothing happens or it asks you for a phone to be connected?

My Ride: E61 525iA Build 2004/08. "Safirschwartz Metallic". Navi Pro, Adaptive Headlights, Bi-Xenon, Panorama Sunroof etc... CIP 18.00.01 (No noticed bug)

I think I figured out a way to check if you have voice command;

1) Press the voice command button (on console or steering wheel)
2) Wait for the "beep" (<2 sec)
3 Press button again

If you now hear a voice saying "Voice input cancelled" (might be in another language depending on your market), then you have voice command.

my 530i has navi function. but in china, the agent said that because the map of china is not update or not accurate yet. so, there is no the map dvd disc to use. so, until now, i still can't use/test the navi. :thumbsdown:

also, on the steering wheel, i have tried to press the voice command button over 10 seconds. but there is no any "deep". this "voice command" only works like "idrive display ON" function.

my bmw agent said that i need to set the display language to english in order to use voice command. but it fails too. i have tried to use english, traditional chinese and simplified chinese menu. all actions fails. then my agent said that they hasn't used it before. they only saw the demonstration at shanghai center. (my local agent is at shenzhen city).

they said that they will contact me if they know what's happened. but i have been waiting over 1 month, NO reply.....

by the way, in china or asia area, BMW follow-up/ after sold service is very bad. at one china bmw bbs, i read one post is that at the front light of one new 730, there is ONE dead cockroach inside. at the same car, at the back light, there is ONE dead fly inside. the owner has dealed with this over months but no any positive result.
