They operate in tandem with the windshield washer, when your headlights are on. If no headligths on, they will activate after five "daylight" windshield-only washings.

And FWIW, none of us has ever seen them work--great mystery; but they are powerful and should be fun to watch.

Cheers,

No buttom!

They automatically spray the first time you wash your window and after that every third time
if you have the lights on.

The system resets itselves every time you stop the engine.

These are activated with the main window wiper wash. Just pull back on the window stalk, and provided the lights are switched on the light washer will activate.

It is a three stage process. 0.6 sec blast 0.3 sec interval followed by a second blast of 0.7 sec.

The washers will not activate again until you have been through 10 further activations of the window washers. That is unless the lights have been switched off and on again in between the cycle.

This may be why you are asking how to activate them

(The above link was borrowed from the following thread that contains way more information about these washers than anyone should ever need!)

That's right, every car has the holes in the bumper, but you have to have the Cold Weather Package to have the washers. I don't have them but do have the little square plugs in the bumper...

If you want to see them in action, just have your car washed and when it is nice and pristine, watch the end of your hood and see the overspray that covers your freshly washed car, or if this doesn't get you, how about the car in front of you that decides to wash his windshield and the spray goes over his car and lands on your freshly washed car. I Hate the winter.
