As per title, how do you stop navigation after it has been programmed to navigate?

A few days ago, I went for a drive to test a few things out, after a while I had managed to go a bit further than I had expected and found myself somewhere where I wasn't quite sure where I was!

I programmed my sat nav to navigate me home, started to navigate, but then after only 10 minutes I realised where I was and no longer needed navigation, but couldn't figure out how to stop it?

I eventually ended up just turning the volume down when navigation was speaking.

Now I have programmed navigation before used it for a while, gone to fill up with diesel and then restarted engine at which point navigation reads do you wish to continue navigation - yes/no?.

Is there an option somewhere where I can get this message to appear when I want to stop navigation other than turning engine off and on again?

You can click over to the menu on the far left screen and then click on the (i believe) the second icon down that is a little line with a circle on the tip. This cancels the nav route in my car and you can click it again if you ever want to resume.

Or .... here's a novel idea for the OP ... you could read your owner's manual!

In event you never received one with your car, go to the information section of this forum and download one for FREE!!! And a pdf version is very easy to search for answers to everyday questions!

Now that's a deal if there ever was one
