I voted "1" before you amended the poll, so I suspect that many other 1s are actually 0s.

Only one in E39 (540iS 6 spd) with OEM Dunlop Sport 2000, right rear, high temps, high speed, already badly worn inside tread (no replacements available in USA that summer). Car handled perfectly. Didn't really know what it was until I slowed down and pulled off Interstate.
However, I cannot vouch for it being a determining factor for my continued use of thumpflats.

Cheers,
Ray Hull

We'll I voted 2, however the second may not count here; the first happened travelling at circa 190kph along an autobahn during the 1980's when a rear tyre let go - result was five years (estimate!) taken of my life and significant cleaning bill!

The second was during the the early 80's too - actually landing a fast jet military aircraft, the port tyre exploded (the aircraft only has one tyre per wheel hence not good eh!) The board of enquiry stated "the tyre suffered a catastrophic failure", we'll it exploded which translated means a large bang! - result was a further number of years taken of my life and a very large cleaning bill - I'd have appreciated RFT's then....... since then I've been lucky but now, we'll yes I'd stick with RFT's despite the less than compliant ride quality, I'm too old and conservative now, age tends to reduce the number of chances remaining!!!!
