omg.... do i really have to do all those to really keep a car going well?
thats a really long list man! what im doing currently is engine oil change, the tyre, the most basic stuffs...
i dont think my car has done any fuel injector cleaning. how much would that cost?
for the spark, how much would that cost? and whats so special about NGK Iridium???
can someone please list out how much would it cost to do those with the dealer?
or is there a cheaper way??

Change the battery every 4-5 years or so, no matter what, you will chase electrical problems and replace sensors like crazy only to find out the battery was alittle weak.... in my e39 I did the same thing, thinking it was the sensor, or part failing only to find the battery was getting weak..... yes parts start to wear and IMO they react slower to lower amps volts (example the thermostat, i got a error along with other errors) instead of changing the thermostat ect I noticed the battery was original (over 5 years old) and when i changed it i have not had a issues with the car again, also it seems to run and idle better.....

Get Mike Miller preventive maintenance for a aging BMW. He writes for Bimmer Magazine and the BMW CCA magazine Roundel. His suggestions are usually dead on and his knowledge of BMWs are far greater than most of ours.

Here is an excerpt from that PDF in regards to spark plug brands:
NGK's are just better, in my opinion.
There is no reason to deviate from the factory-recommended Bosch or NGK spark plug
specification, changed at 30,000-to-60,000-mile intervals, depending upon the car and
severity of service. Basically, any BMW engine produced after 1993 (with multiple-coil
ignition systems) including the S54, S62, S65, and S85 can easily run 60,000 miles on a
set of spark plugs.

In other words, for optimum engine performance, most
BMWs want spark plugs about every 60,000 miles.
BMWs want spark plugs about every 60,000 miles.

Based on his other thread about oil, the OP has a diesel, therefore no spark plugs to change
and so if i buy the NGK Iridium's. do i just bring that along with me to the dealer? n they will do that for me? i thought they only fix ur car with their part. how much?
and for the battery, how much would bmw cost for replacing it?
