Man on man 157! I got nervous at 142. I think my next 5 series will definately be the top of the line engine when I buy it. F10 here I come!

I had the same feeling at 180 !

You should test the max speed with a GPS or by the secret men? "Real speed" .
On Sunday, at 7am .
Do you have the snow tires on now ?

140mph, a little scary when the cars you are passing seem like they are standing still.

Gentlemen are you really that surprised that your cars can acieve high speeds. Nice to see that the supposed American Police officer is not worried about speeding tickets. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Great forum always able to get sensible and sound advice on E60 topics but now again a daft topic like this crops up.

e60insd is a CHP officer

Hand over your license gents.

today in the pres.....a senior police officer in Scotland is being sent for trial for doing 118 mph through a static camera in a 525d (marked police car) on a 60mph trunk road. his defence is that he was testing the car and his own force forgot to tell the force in the area he committed the offence -funny though, he was caught in perthshire scotland and his area is durham, england. He seems to have forgotten to stop for a couple of hungred miles while testing this car!!

Indeed. 790 miles on the ODO! How is that oil consumption working out for you?
