135 MPH. On a new section of highway between my house and my office. It has nice wide lanes and hardly ever any traffic. And it is one of those roads where you can see for a mile or two before the next rise in the road, and then a mile or two after that, and so on. So there are no places for enterprising municipal revenue-generators to hide. I slow down a bit to top the hill, look for Johnny Law, and then hit it for another few miles to the top of the next rise in the road.

For some reason even my routine highway driving occurs between 80 and 105 MPH. This car just feels perfect at high speeds (when the situation "safely" allows it). Driving slow in this car is like a crime against nature. Yeah yeah -- I'm sure I've got a nice huge ticket with my name on it waiting for me soon.

A friend and took ED of 550i's on 9/24. We both hit the limiter at 151 on the Autobahn. Here, I have been up to 120 before realizing I might be a bit fast and slowing down. I am certainly going to get a ticket in this car as it is way toooo easy to move quickly!

130 is the fastest I've gone but I've been over 120MPH close to 100 times.

True. Thats twice a lap, for 10 laps for 5 on track sessions at VIR this past weekend. I posted the details of the weekend and my impressions of the 550i on track in the 550i on Track thread.

I have removed VMax and I went (little) above 260 KM/H ... The car doesn't make any strange moves, it's very stable.
Speed was mentionned on Tom Tom navigator ...

I also drive bikes (Honda CBR Fireblade), that goes with ease above 300 KM/H, but on the bike it's very scary ....
Woo did your remap?
Do you still have the stock clutch? Does it handle the 633NM well?

Kempower Belgium (Lummen) did remap. I have done 40.000 km till now, for the moment no problems.
But Kempower did all my previous cars, so I don't except problems.

And indeed, it's the stock clutch...
