How do you cancel NAV destination...
jmnieves: Rudy helped me out with this about 10 days ago. Two methods:
1) Hold down the repeat-last-nav-instruction steering wheel button; this mutes Nav Babe. This mute setting is now in effect, even across engine stop and start so you have to hold it down again to bring her back when you need her.
2) Use the voice command: "Last Destinations" to bring up the destination. Make sure the current destination (the one with the little arrow symbol on the left) is highlighted. Push the iDrive knob down to select/enter it. The first selection on the next screen will show Start Guidance with its checkbox checked. Push down on the iDrive knob to uncheck it. Give the voice command "Main Menu" or whatever, 'cause you're done. No more Nav Babe.
Thanks Rudy,
Sam

sj3, your first method wouldn't really cancel the navigation, only mute the nav babe. I think jmnieves is looking to cancel the entire guidance, not just mute the voice instructions.
The reason this is important is, for example, you have HUD and you no longer want to see the thing telling you to turn around or take the next turn, etc. in the windshield.
Also, if you only mute the nav babe, the next time you start the car, you'll see something like a "resume guidance to previous destination" message that you either have to answer yes or no to. If you press no, it's the same as your method two or my original reply.
