I got new headlights and the dealer initially forgot to program them. As a result, the auto level and steering function was not working...I could easily see that since the lights aimed at an odd angle and didnt follow the road.
I got the car back again from the dealer today who said that they re-initialized the lights. But I still cant see the auto level happen whan I start the car and switch to "A" mode against a white wall. Nor do I see the lights turn when I turn the steering.
Wondering if I am missing something and what is the best way to test these functions, before I go back to the dealer tomorrow.
thanks in advance!

You headlights should turn at the same time when your turn the wheel (On Auto mode),
if it doesnt, sounds like a trip to your dealer

Also, starting the car does a little headlight test where it moves up, down, left and right.

I have adaptive lights, they do not do the left to right at startup, only down and up. But they do work - at stationary only to the right, when driving you can definately tell they are turning both left and right.

Since you are from Seattle then this is how you can test the adaptive lighting... park it in front of a wall start the car put it in drive hand brake off and turn your steering wheel to the right, ( I dont have to say " Keep your foot on the brake" do I? ) the light should follow and move to the right. Turning it to the left while stationary wont work, only works while moving.
Self leveling. when you first start the car and turn on the head lights it will move up and down to initialize.
