Hey everyone,

Everything seemed to be fine before but out of nowhere the shifter got a problem when trying to put it into p.

Other gears are all good but just the parking.

When I change from R to P to park the car, it doesn't go into P smoothly and the light on P doesn't show up.

And then when I try to take out my keys, it won't release it which must mean that the car isn't perfectly parked.

So, when I force it hard into P, the light shows up and then I can finally turn off the engine and take out the key.

Is anyone familiar with this issue? Having some tough time here.

i had issue to Reverse, no issues to Park or Drive, but hard to Reverse
BMW dealer replaced the shifter and reprogrammed whole car
