Thanks CHR15 and SilberGrauE60, I can confirm that last five digits is the real code to unlock and use this hidden menu. With car in ignition (turned off), I have a battery that fluctuates between 12.3, 12.4, 12.5. Should have be 12.7 as that is the full charge, or there is nothing to worry about (reason I say worry, cause I believe it is the original white battery from '04 in the car).

FYI, the dealers only carry AGM-type batteries now, so if you want to replace it with a standard lead-acid, you'll have to go 3rd party.

Not to hijack this thread, however; I think I have a perfect relevant/ followup question . Whe
Once you check the voltage, what should it be???
I bought my car over an year ago, and the car is about 7 years old. Not sure if the battery has been changed yet or not, however; it has not given me any issues yet.
The voltage was around 11.8 volts. I charged it fully, when checked right after charge and while charging, the voltage was 12.18. Next morning, it was again 11.8 Volts.
To verify, I repeated the same process with my wife's 2014 Ford Focus (assuming the battery is brand new), and VROD. Below are the results.
Ford focus battery was 12.16 Volts the next day, and VROD was 12.5.
According to what I read online, the voltage of fully charged battery should be around 12.75, however; that does not seem right to me.
Any comments???
Thanks.

Fully charged battery should be at 12.6V.
12.4V = 75% charge
12.2V = 50% charge ...
That battery has served you well; my recommendation to you is to replace the battery at your earliest convenience.

I would agree with you, however; my test on Ford Focus battery is throwing me off ..

Anyone know if most proper group sizes will work such as one of these : ODYSSEY Batteries - Find a Battery
Seems like better construction than what dealer sells and for same or less $
