:thumbsdown: that is what I mean they will quote you loads of $$$ to get things done, if you don't go back to do the service with them after the 2 years.
I asked them how much was it to servies my car which my car was 3 years old then.
They said it would cost $2300hk just for the oil and oil filter change, what a rip off.
maybe it is cheaper for your 3er.
most ppl go back to BMWHK so they can get more money in a privet sale.
But for me it dose not matter cos in the end I going to trade it in and will never do a privet sale.
The sale guy said to me it dose not matter if it gose back to BMWHK or not to get things fixed, he told me to take it out side it much cheaper.
e.g. they charge 1 of our guy over $1000hk just to fix a wire in the boot :thumbsdown:

and even if u go w/ dension ... u can still hook up the spec.dock ...

anyways ... I also checked out the iPod interface from the factory ... parts+labor is about $4600!! And once the iPod/iPhone is stored in the glove compartment ... you'll have no control of it except for the 5 preset playlists .. and iDrive might not support chinese writing ... I know mine doesn't.
so again .. really depends on what u need

u'll need some program to unlock the iDrive monitor, some shop near wanchai was quoting me about $5000 (they might be willing to go cheaper)
