Now that I no longer have runflat tires, must drive more carefully to avoid puncture. At least I remember to leave my spare in the trunk ...hehe

well when you are doing about 120lm and it is very hard to avoid stone or any thing on the road unless you have to drive at 60 in a 100 or 30 in a 50, which is inposable in a e60.
Not even my smart I can drive a low speed.
tyre cost me $1850 for a new 1 which is ver cheep

MB old or new, I would never consider. A test drive is all I would go for.

But a brake failure that's dangerous. What exactly happen?
Below is my ordeal of owning a W211 :

On some day in 2006 , I drove my 2003 E-class right from the parking space , suddenly the alarm sounded like hell and computer said " BRAKE FAILURE, PROLONG THE BRAKING DISTANCE" , then I kicked down the brake pedal and felt only 20% of braking power left. I almost hit a car in front of me. This is too much to endure any more!!

I went to MB Dealer immediately and without hesitation they replaced a brand new SBC ( Sensortronic Brake Control) for free even my 2-year warranty is expired. To my surprise, this NOTORIOUS SBC has 10-year of warranty offered by MB since it's a defective design. MB discontinued to produce SBC after 2006 just in order to keep all the MB owner alive.
