KC...

My mechanic friend invited me to go to Zhuhai track day on 3rd April but too bad I have to go back to China to 拜山 during that week, so I can't make it.

Any of you guys are interested, please let me know, I think I can hook you guys up.

Cheers,
Mike

I am sure you are not the only one who bought HSBC stock between $50-$60. Just to be safe, give it at least 10 years time for the come back. With such low divident rate, better use the money on your family or yourself. U will be much happier and no need to become "Long Neck Bill".
if you believe in economic cycle, 10 years might not be a good strategy. take a look at the price of hsbc 10 years ago.

imho, its still a good investment if it can maintain the dividend policy but be prepared to see very volatile prices in the next few weeks.

with the price of HSBC nowadays and they print our money, i'm not so sure if 8000 is too high,
i bought at 58 and now i'm a loser as well.....
think of it this way bill. as long as you take advantage of the rights issue appropriately, the average price will be around $49, this probably means you will still get around 5% on dividend payment a year which is a fairly good return in itself + upside potential on stock price.
