I checked and found PIAA actually not a build-in resistor, they have a extra connector with tube. which that tube is we talking about the load resistor. But they pack in good look only.
All claim have build in led are suck also, they also use the connector wiring to trick.
Power (W) = Voltage (v) x Current (A) , Voltage (V) = Current (A) x Resistance (ohm)
For Angle eye,
non-xenon version use 12V, 5W bulb, Then means draw 0.42A current, if replaced by led which assume draw 0.25A current, then need 70 ohm resistor
xenon version use 12V, 10W bulb, Then means draw 0.42A current, if replaced by led which assume draw 0.25A current, then need 20 ohm resistor
License plate use 12V, 5W bulb, Then means draw 0.42A current, if replaced by led which assume draw 0.25A current, then need 70 ohm resistor
Mean the resistor value depend on which led being use.
May be I said too much, I will buy some 20 ohm; 30 ohm; 50 ohm for try and error.![Big Grin](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/biggrin.gif)

before install resistor - light on but have error code
After install resistor - light still on but error code gone.

Now use the cheap cheap ceramic resistor for run-in test. If still haven't error code, will change to aluminium resistor later-on

No, not yet. But just ask ahead so that I know how to approach. Hopefully I will find the steering wheel soon. ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/rolleyes.gif)
