Hi all on the BMW HK Forum,

I'm a new E60 (2007 525i) owner and I'm trying to get some info on suspension mods.

Has anyone tried the Tien Euro Dampers? I'd like to know how they ride.

http://www.tein.co.jp/e/products/euro.html

If you have an other suggestions on springs, dampers and sway bars, would like to hear them.

Many thanks,

Ed

Welcom to the best forum
I had Tien in my S2000 and I did not like it 1 bit.
I think Tien is for track only and never for HK roads, itis just too hard and for a saloon I would never put them on, it will become very hard and bouncy ride.
I would just change the springs and for the sway bars 100% H&R, your car will become alive.

Welcome

Haven't tried Tien so can't give any comments but i believe other Europe suspension makers have more experience on Euro car than Tein.

For springs: Eibach pro kit
dampers: try bilstein (Had a good reputation on europe cars but haven't tried personally)
sway bars: H&R (Have tried pinguhk's E60 and definitely given the car an extra strenght to attack corners)

Is you car a facelift model? can't wait to see you car mate

Thanks Keith, still looking into my options at the moment and agree with you... may be better to go with H&R or Eibach.

Yes, it's the face-lifted E60; it's completely stock except for the M-Style (135) rims. I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

Cheers

Did my 1st mod in 2008
I DIY my Chrome Grill on the 1-1-2008
I had to brake my old grill to put the new 1 in, took about 10mins.
too much work taking the front bumper off.

Here you go Keith. As you can see, it's sitting like an SUV... and I definitely prefer less body roll on the corners. Will look into the Eibachs/Bilstein combo as I hear it give a decent ride but mich better cornering. Any shops you can recommend?

Cheers

Sing Fai motors he is a BMW fixer only, most new cars goto him and get the m kit done.
Keith will be modding his in June when he comes back from UK at Sing Fai.
If you are like me and go for handling then H&R sway bars is a must.
Are you going to get the H&R sway bars which I have on my car?
maybe we can meetup 1 friday night after work and test drive my car.
