pingy - I cant join you tonite, could you check out the seat for me while u r there.

http://www.ebodykit.com/index_eproduct_vie...roducts_id=1947

2 things in particular:

weight
wiring harness (sensor and connection to the seat motors)

ps, I hope you meant discount and not biscuit
We went down tonight and the guy at ecarboy dont what to know about the other part and say it cost too much to ship.
its all the same in HK local car shop, all they what to sell is there own part and slag off the other part on how bad they can be.
Funny thing is Ecarboy know that there fiberglass is not 100% good and 100% know it will crack but they still sell it. All they what is $$$$$
For most newbees they will buy it but after using it for so many years they will never use it again.

Welcome Au!

As Simpsons says, if your car is brand new or less than a year, i would go for the warranty option for another year or two.
9000hkd for oil change does sound expensive but it will include other parts and labour for the peace of mind.
In machanical aspects, E60 is pretty much bullet prove but we had few members having some minor electronical problems (e.g faults code..etc)

So for the safe side, i would go for it!
but after the extanded warranty, find a decent garage to do the usual maintainence and forget about BMW
itis 2 years warranty so no need to extand for the 2nd year, only 3,4 and 5year need to extanded warranty.
1 thing they will ask is the maintainence to extand after the 1st year which I did not for all my new cars there.
BMWHK is a con because warranty and maintainence are not in 1 like US or UK.
it is 1 year maintainence and 2 year warranty

bro, his case is not the same... his is 0 hand, so he knows exactly what happened to his car all these time, but you can't find out any thing that was done to yours since 2007... sorry to say this, but this is the chance we have to take should we buy secondhand unless you can really trust the 2nd hand shop.
thats right unless like me tell the seller all the changes and fix to them it is imposable to know what happens to 2nd hand cars.
also to you guy from the start of owning your cars best to get all the reset from all the fix and change so you can sell the car much better.

Well, honestly i think it really depends on yr luck and i am sure i totally run out of it when i get this car...but after the conversation with keith, dav and stanley the other night, it shouldnt be not a "big" problem and maybe just some sensors issues..."finger cross", so, buying a 2nd hand car is ok..as long as u are lucky enough and a very trusted salesman!
yes sitting in your car tonight seems ok smooth but there are some kicks in the gearbox which feels like more sensors than the gear box.
How tomorrow computer will find out the part that need to be changed
