You can't compare UK/US/Can etc.. they have high labour rate.

I think the shop changes oil only, you need to supply the oil and filter. 1000 total would be the fair price, otherwise I would go there every week for an oil change if they only charge you what I usually pay for lunch/dinner
1000 is too much.
60 for filter
150 for labour
520 for mobile oil
so total for my change is only 730

Thanks pinkguhk...got your PM with the garage info!

Actually...i am still thinking of 18" or 19" wheels..............Of cos 19" wheels definately looks better than 18"......

But from the point of the performance...........19" seems too big and it will slow down the 0-100km/h..my 530i only got 231bhp...and And i don't want the 19"wheels spoil my car's handling....i just want to enjoy the driving.....and that beautiful handling.....

When talk about the handling.......if anyone wanna get Merc-Benz AMG...whatever the model (maybe apart from SLK 55).....you should avoid....cos i driven the new E63AMG recently....and it was totally disappointed..... with 514bph...the straight line performance will eat anything on the road....but for handling....very disappointed! I have tried on the wet track...the car started to slides and..i don't feel anything communication between the driver and the car....even in the dry track.......lack of feel reduce your ability of tackcling the corner...........i through AMG will work on the handling of their AMG range...but the staffs told me...they won't do anything about it even they've tuned it up to over 500bph(Don know that is true or not)......i am not against the Merc driver in here...it is a good car to drive......but u know....for that huge price tag........you only paying for the straight line performance..........

HKD 800.00 for the springs installation

he changes oil for $150
install swaybars $200 each
install steering whell $250
install brackpads 1 set $150
install full set of trims 7 pecis $1100

......i think that is really really good price indeeded........in UK...if you go to the local garage...even the cheapest one charging 45.00GBP for oil change + Oil costs.....so everything will be......approxi $1000 HKD la.......so would save that money and change by myself....
Keith
I would go for the 18" for best performance and save the money for swaybars and K&N filter
when you get to my age 19" & 20" are only for looks and not for performance on a E60, my car is slower with 19" but still can do 230kmh and for a fast car get a 2nd car like me S2000, then you get the speed you what, but drive safely I have been baned once in HK for 3 months for speeding. was doing 260 in a 70 zone. 10 points added
well I drive much safer now and I know were most of the pigs are.
I have a meet at this weekend with about 6 night rider so I will try and do 240kmh, it will be good fun.

as for the labour rate in UK itis alot that why I fix all my cars from when I was at school until now and itis much more fun to work on your own cars, like a hobey to me.
I`m going to change the oil in 2 months time and just get a softwere tool from ebay to reset the computer in the car.

after you mod the car maybe we meet and have a spin in HK and I get my frend to drive the S2000 too.

Wow man...230km/h..in HK.....i bet i will be really scare at that speed especially in HK with tight road and loads of traffic. I only managed to do 130mph around 210km/h in UK in a wide open road with my ex-ride MR-S. But pls drive safely this weekend hmm??

After reading your commends...i think i am more likely to get the 18" wheels...........and will start searching the wheels on Ebay to see any bargains.........
And...i am looking for fitting the Dunlop sport Maxx tyres onto the new wheels.......How much is that in HK? and any throughs or commends on this tyres? OR any other suggestion?

From question man!

130mph is fast for a little car, it feels like driving 260kmh
I just found out I can mod the smart to 110hp and get 220kmh out of it but at a cost. $10,000hk
now I do drive safe cos I have 2 kids. I only do that speed on the wide lanes no way can I get that speed in town.
If you what good and cheep tyres, get my 1s very cheep, my 19" 1s are only $1850 each but that was 1 year ago maybe now they gone up cos of the euro. so 18" maybe about $1000 each.

I had Dunlop before and will never buy them again.

Hi Keith,

Nice to see another 530i here. For the mods, most of us go to a garage in Hung Hum, he has been doing our mods perfectly. Take a look Lawrence's car, his M-kit and springs are installed by this garage. PM me if you want the name of the garage.

The E60 looks much better with 19" if you are going for the M-Kit. It maybe a little bit difficult to get hold of a set of wheels with new tyres for $10k, most brand name tires cost around $2000 each.
Hi Mic,

Would you PM me the name of the garage pls...cos my girlfriend lives in Hung Hum too.....so maybe i can pop in when i back.....and how much did they charge Lawrence? Is it inc painting and fitting as well?

Btw...i found a guy selling the 135 wheels on Ebay...and.....i placed the bid already......hopefully will get it in a good price?!

Keith

Mobile one is not the best oil out there, I wouldn't mind shelling out a couple more hundreds to get racing oil.
