you havent suggested super charger for him yet?
I agree the upside of his current engine is probably limited but would suggest a turbo charged, perhaps the new 2L or 535 f10 instead, the former also benefits from the gov green tax.
ps, how is the bmw powerbox, made much difference?

oh, almost forgot, if size and manual gb is not a concern, get the 1m, currently the best bang for the buck.

i know the cost and effective is less than turbo engine.
but just want to do a bit of the c fuk mod to squeeze abit more power out.
