there is also the psychological factor, the r8 owner probably would worry more about scratching an r8 than a civic and he/she probably would have more to lose if suffered from serious injuries or death.

TMS is the standard in which all cars are to be benchmarked on. If they cant get up TMS fast enough, then its a shit car...

I would still rather buy the R8 over the Civic....regardless whether its faster on road/track or not...
exactly, that's why sometimes we heard comments from e46 M3 drivers that porsche/ferrari/lambos are not that fast, they can pass them easily blah blah. I believe e46 beats e90 M3 most of the time. those MK drivers just don't value their life much.
